Four shadows

The same noon, held four times.

Medium Photographs and film

The brass pin in its stone, at noon.

One brass pin, driven into a stone in an open field. I come back at solar noon each season and photograph the only thing that moves: its shadow. Long and blue in January. Almost gone by June. The photographs keep what the shadow cannot.
